A fantastic atmosphere, with exuberant staff who make you feel like one of the family, providing you with great food. There is always plenty of action, and such a perfect position in Summer for those long lunches.

Oh Please!!! There is more attitude than hollywood. The food is very basic pasta, risotto, foccacia and salad. Nothing special and nothing to recommend to others. But if you are from the suburbs and this is your coolest hang out - good luck to you.

Not impressed! The rude and dismissive staff at The Street Cafe kept a friend and I waiting for breakfast for over one hour! It turned out that the wait person had mixed up our tables and kept fobbing us off when we mentioned that we STILL had not received our order. Hello? How long does it take to cook some pancakes and poached eggs for goodness sake? Our enquires as to why our meal was taking so long were brushed aside as we had to endure tables of people around us sit down, order, eat and leave! ARGH!! I have never had an experience like this in my whole life! We were offered compliamentary drinks that we were later charged for! Duh! I let the manager know of our concerns via a fax a few days later and suprise I have had no feedback! I have lost count of the number of people that I have told about this whole affair and will continue to spread the word about this shoddy cafe to all my friends in Sydney and melbourne. Stay away from the Street
